Ran Wilson Creek Gorge - 4/15/07 with Darron P., Ronnie, Jeff, Eddie C., and others. Met the rest of the group over at Wilson Creek early afternoon. Level was just above -6, perhaps -5 to 5 1/2″, overcast and around 60. Water clear and steady.Heavy rains in the last hour toward Lenior but did not seem to have effected Wilsons,
remained pretty steady level through the run, might have come up a bit with the occasional rain in the area.
Everyone had excellant runs. Caught a new eddy for me in 10′falls - on the left just above the final drop. Had an excellant line through Fat Mama’s going back left and then back high on the second tier at the top, normally a bit difficult to get through at this level but this line worked great. Did a great boof move at the drop below Maytag with the corner eddy on the right and rock in front. Had an excellant line through Razorback - dropped imediately into the left groove and boof on the left at the bottom, hung a left brace behind and dropped left onto the pillow of the outflow nice! Did the left line at the new bolder choke below Razorback.
Excellant day, some of the group went back up for a second run, I left as winds where picking up when we got off around 4pm and temps where droping fast. Great day on the river.
